Sania jumps 15 spots in singles.
Sania Mirza gained 15 places in the Women’s Tennis Association singles rankings, on Monday, to be at 129th and jumped 20 positions in the doubles to be ranked 67th after a good show at the Guangzhou International Open in China.

Sania reached the quarter finals of the singles event and won the doubles title along with Romania’s Edina Gallovits on Sunday.

However, in the Association of Tennis Professionals list, Somdev Dev Varman slid to 117, losing four places.

Rohan Bopanna’s singles ranking improved marginally. He gained six places to be at No. 473. He remained static at 19th in the doubles list.

Leander Paes (9) and Mahesh Bhupathi (13) also had their doubles rankings unchanged.
