It’s billed as the battle between the world’s sexiest tennis player and the world’s sexiest tennis gamer.
And, on the evidence of the promotional video for the Top Spin 4 videogame, champion Serena Williams is playing for keeps.
The tennis star gives viewers a taste of the heated exchanges to come, wearing a revealing outfit as she replicates her crushing strokes on the PlayStation 3’s Play controller. She wears a high cut body suit that shows off most of her famously curvy behind, as well as a pair of thigh-high laced-up black boots.
Her opponent, actress Rileah Vanderbilt, isn’t sticking to the Wimbledon dress code either, working up a sweat in fishnet stockings, sexy high heels.
According to the Daily Mail, the video has been deemed to sexy for TV, with video game developer 2K Sports saying: “As part of the process for creating marketing campaigns to support our titles, we pursue a variety of creative avenues. This video is not part of the title's final marketing campaign and its distribution was unauthorised.”
It isn’t hard to see why. The advert is decidedly raunchy, featuring as many shots of derriere and sweat dripping down cleavage as it does of the actual tennis game. Williams and her opponent, however, seemed particularly pleased with the final product.
This week, Vanderbilt tweeted a link to the video.
“Check out my newest commercial with @serenawilliams! Directed by : @waltercmay http://tinyurl.com/4shvgue” she posted.
On the same day, Serena tweeted: “Stay tuned for a (sic) awesomely sexy video I am tweeting later..... Stay tuned......” The video, however, never appeared.
