There were no great surprises in the first of our Greatest Of All Time match-ups, with Eurosport-Yahoo! readers overwhelmingly feeling that Roger Federer would have too much firepower for American great Jim Courier.

An astonishing 91 per cent of readers - over 8,000 people at the time of writing - believe Federer would win if the two had met while at their respective peaks.

But despite the margin of victory there was still plenty of heartfelt comments for Courier on the message boards, with several of you paying tribute to a man who was one of the grittiest competitors of the 1990s.

We've translated Federer's margin of victory into a game score over the hypothetical three-set match, giving the Swiss legend a 6-0 6-2 6-0 win.

This week's match sees Swedish great - and Eurosport pundit - Mats Wilander up against flame-haired German Boris Becker. Come back on Thursday for the full pre-match stats, and read Eurosport commentator Simon Reed's thoughts on the encounter.
